Einführung in die Soziale Arbeit

This book, now in its third, completely updated and extended edition, introduces first-semester students to the science of social work. It answers basic questions on the profession and the academic discipline as well as on its identity-building ‘core’ in intelligible and explanatory language, while its various exercises, targeted references to further reading and its index will stimulate self-study. Its content was developed and successfully executed together with students at two universities, where the authors offered an introduction to the fundamentals of social work during lectures, tutorials and seminars. Each of the chapters covers the content of a two-hour lecture. The chapters may be used as a basis for discussions in tutorials and for examinations.
