Details
Empiricism plays a central role in media economics research. Wolfgang Seufert has characterised this field for more than 30 years with sharp-witted, quantitative empirical studies usually based on secondary and complementary primary data. This volume pays tribute to Wolfgang Seufert’s work. Longstanding associates and influential media economists take a look at some of Seufert’s most important empirical works, integrate them into current media economics discourse and derive promising future research areas from them. The range they encompass reflects Seufert’s versatile scientific contribution and includes micro-, meso- and macroeconomics perspectives. In addition, selected original articles by Wolfgang Seufert are reprinted in this volume. In the editors’ opinion, these studies have been especially influential and epitomise Seufert’s work.
