This book is the first to analyse British electoral history since 1945, placing special emphasis on general elections from Thatcher to Johnson. A comparable study in English that combines insights into electoral developments and election research over this period of time has so far not been available. This new approach also allows surprising insights into election campaigns, electoral behaviour and social change that have so far guaranteed alternating two-party governments.
