Details
The supplement 2/2018 to the journal “European Law” is dedicated to the theoretical and interdisciplinary approaches to European law, as well as to its historical development. It combines the contributions to the XXIV. Scientific Colloquium of the Scientific Society for European Law, which was held at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg and was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the journal “European Law”. In addition to the significance of European law for public law (Alexander Thiele), private law (Hans Schulte-Nölke) and criminal law (Frank Meyer), the developments in the legal area of “European law” (Jörg Philipp Terhechte) are discussed as thoroughly as its connections to cultural (Peter Häberle) and economic science (Thomas Wein). Furthermore, the expectations of legal practice towards the science of European law (Vassilios Skouris), as well as autonomy from a theoretical (Ino Augsberg), international-legal (Markus Kotzur) and constitutional-legal (Sebastian Unger) perspective are comprehensively examined.
