Gleiches Recht der Älteren auf gesellschaftliche Teilhabe

Age differentiation can have a variety of reasons, which may or may not be related to age-discrimination and which deserve different legal assessment. Legal questions related to age differentiation and their significance for the social participation of the elderly can be discussed using the example of financial and insurance products. In addition to presenting a legal assessment of this issue, this study deals with ways of amending both the laws that relate to this matter and the constitution. The rights of the elderly should be further developed at various levels (Basic Law, EU Law, and German and European legislation, each with general and specific rules) which complement each other, without one of these levels making another unnecessary. An anti-discrimination law at different legal levels especially can take into account the needs of both generalisation and specific design.
