This special issue is the first comprehensive academic review of the German National Security Strategy. With the aim of providing concrete policy recommendations, the contributing political scientists and legal scholars discuss the functions, policy areas and institutionalisation of the security strategy. The special issue thus becomes a starting point for future research debates on the National Security Strategy.
The editors, Prof. Dr. Holger Janusch and Jun-Prof. Dr. Thomas Dörfler, conduct research on strategic issues of security policy and advise the German Federal Intelligence Service.
