Kontextualismus

If a context changes, the range of possible perceptions, interpretations and possible courses of action related to it also changes. This volume takes this central finding as its starting point in order to place the concept of context in a broader theoretical framework and shows how political science research could benefit from a new contextualist approach that has its roots in both the ‘linguistic turn’ and differentiation theory. In addition to the theoretical foundations of the socio-scientific contextualism outlined here, this book explores different fields of application at the point where politics and law overlap. The focus here is on current challenges posed by both EU integration and processes of functional differentiation in global society.
