Lehrpläne im Kontext von politischem und pädagogischem Wollen

Curricula are a result of educational policy and pedagogical will. The curriculum development of the upper elementary school and the lower secondary school in Bavaria from 1945 to 2000 is presented to the reader in a longitudinal section. In doing so, continuities and discontinuities are shown with the help of a system of teaching categories.
At the interface of pedagogy and history, the author's historical-systematic analysis is intended to encourage student teachers and current teachers, as well as all those interested in schools and school development, to read the curriculum critically, reflectively, and contextually.
