Liebe zwischen Norm, Freiheit und Transzendenz

To love and to be loved are among the most fundamental experiences of human existence. As indisputable as this insight is, it is also complex when examined in terms of its theoretical premises, its diverse artistic representations and its social contextualizations. The contributions in this volume explore the phenomenological diversity of the different varieties of love in literature and philosophy, examine their social standardization as well as their norm-shattering freedom and trace their ethical and epistemological implications. They are presented in the chronological sequence of the source texts they thematize.
