The volume presents the papers of the conference Minority Issues in Hungary and the Neighbouring States in the 20th and 21st centuries held at the Andrássy University Budapest.
The first part of the book handles legal questions connected to the topic and its European dimensions, the second offers a historical perspective on the minority issues in the region in the 20th century with two focuses: on the multiethnic Transylvania at the beginning of the century and the German minority in Hungary after WW II. The third part of the volume contains papers that analyse the present situation of minorities. There are three main fields of interest: minorities vs. majorities, Roma strategies and Romanian minority politics in European context.
