ISZF – Interdisziplinäre Studien zu Freiwilligendiensten und zivilgesellschaftlichem Engagement
Description
Education in German volunteering services is caught between emancipatory demands and its functionalisation according to labour market requirements and the requirements of our knowledge-based society.
This book presents the findings of a research and practice development project carried out by the Research Institute for Non-formal Education at the University of Applied Sciences in Cologne in cooperation with the Internationaler Bund, a German non-governmental organisation for national social, ecological and federal volunteering services. The research focuses on subject orientation and participation as main principles of non-formal education in German volunteering services, and proposes conceptual approaches for non-formal education in practice.

Reviews
Dr. Birte Egloff, Voluntaris 2/2019, 244
