Description
In the face of increasing environmental degradation, new concepts are being sought for how society deals with nature. One of these is ecological proportionality. It means that when individuals and companies plan environmentally harmful projects, they consider less intrusive alternatives and weigh them against their goals. The book shows that it can already be found in reality as well as in law, but often only in excerpts that develop into a new social model and legal principle. The components of the principle are reconstructed in a general part from a sociological and legal doctrine perspective. In a special part, they are sought and evaluated in industrial plant, infrastructure, water, nature conservation, product and energy law.
