Description
The period specified in the title of this book essentially extends from the last years of the Ancien Régime to the end of the Restoration. It is understandable that only a few of the many Parisian events that took place during this period can be discussed here in an ultimately arbitrary selection. It will be shown by way of example how everything that aroused public interest in Paris and thus, so to speak, on the French stage at the time, was then usually immediately reflected in graphic art and a wealth of arts and crafts objects, whether medals or figurine clocks, snuff boxes or printed fabrics and the like.
The book is aimed at those interested in cultural history, researchers, collectors and dealers.
