This book integrates diverse legal perspectives on personalised medicine, exploring the shared basic principles of its constitutional, civil, criminal and social law aspects. Personalised medicine aims to facilitate the implementation of preventive and therapeutic methods tailored to the needs of particular patients or patient groups by means of systematic diagnostics, in particular through molecular genetic techniques. This gives rise to legal issues, mainly the scope of personality rights protection with regard to research and use of genetic information.
