The Internet is both a factor and a product of the fundamental change that society and its law are currently experiencing. How far and how deep these changes reach is now the focus of public attention. The articles in this volume deal with basic and cross-cutting issues, with a broad spectrum of sector-specific questions and with future topics from an interdisciplinary and legal perspective. These include “hate speech”, opinions expressed by employees in social networks, the share economy and business models of AirBnB and Uber, financing mechanisms on the web, “paying with data” and ad blockers, new forms of music and copyrights, the datafication of driving or visions of further technologisation, as provided by the keywords of “augmented reality”, “smart lenses” or “cyborgs”.
