Soziale Ungleichheit und Sozialstruktur in Lateinamerika

This is a meticulous sociopolitical analysis of the problems of social inequality and poverty in Latin America (especially in the most advanced countries) by a former senior research associate of the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik). The investigation is characterised by a comparative perspective which, among other things, enables the reader to make comparisons with Germany and the USA. This study particularly focuses on the political capabilities of the lower classes to obtain more social justice and critically discusses current theories on the development of middle-class societies in Latin America.
