Stress und Burnout bei ErzieherInnen

Stress, from which burnout can arise, is often work-related. In this work, theories on the development of stress and burnout as well as the health consequences of stress are clearly presented. Using questionnaires on occupational stress and burnout, Dirk Themann uses the example of educators to show which factors in the profession lead to stress or even burnout and which protect against it. On the basis of interviews, he shows what changes in teams in extreme situations, such as the corona pandemic, and what other stressors arise. Finally, he analyses how complex the job description of educators is and what special challenges are posed to this emotion-oriented activity.
