This book 'The Great Inheritance of Northeast New Guinea' is a continuation of my publication 'The Passing Scene in Northeast New Guinea' (Collectanea Instituti Anthropos, Vol. 2). Many people have encouraged me to continue with this kind of research work. I hope that this collection of genuine myths, rites, and native beliefs will be a bridge towards a better understanding and closer friendship between indigenous and foreign people in Papua-New Guinea.
