Description
The socio-ecological transformations that characterize the present epochal change are reflected in all social forms in a variety of ways. The churches and their fields of action are part of these processes. Wherever they engage critically and constructively with the challenges they face and respond productively by helping to shape civil society in a way that promotes peace, thereby also changing themselves, a “transformative ecclesiology” is at work and emerging. This volume aims to analyze the implications and consequences of this transformative ecclesiology in an ecumenical collaboration, using examples from various fields of work.
