Description
This special issue collects the written contributions of the 5th jurOA Conference 2024 (www.jurOA.de), which was dedicated to the effects of digitization on the opening of legal scholarship towards Open Access (OA), Open Educational Resources (OER) and Open Science. The issue examines whether open science is an element of good scientific practice, which framework conditions can promote a cultural change towards open scientific practices and which legal issues structure this development. Further focal points are:
• OA commentaries as a new format
• Open textbooks and OER and their added value in legal didactics
• Open publication infrastructures between established publishers and scholar-led publishing
