Zukunft der öffentlichen Daseinsvorsorge

Guaranteeing efficient public services of general interest is an essential feature of modern statehood. The physical and organisational design of public services of general interest is currently confronted with megatrends: Demographic change, value dynamics, global migration, climate change, digitalisation, but also internationalisation and European integration raise the question of how established approaches and structures of public services of general interest can be secured or further developed in the future. This anthology examines this topic from various disciplinary perspectives develops solutions for administrative practice. It brings together contributions from a conference organised by the Practice and Research Network of the German Universities of Applied Sciences for the Civil Service, which took place in 2023 at the University of Applied Sciences for Police and Public Administration NRW in Cologne.
