Der Band versammelt neun Studien, nebst einer ausführlichen Einleitung, von internationalen Wissenschaftler:innen zum Thema der Einwirkung und Rezeption der Philosophie von Parmenides bei der Antiken. Die Beiträge beschäftigen sich mit dem Denken von Parmenides von der archaischen Tradition bis zum späten Neuplatonismus. Jede(r) Autor:in ist Expert:in im Rahmen der Philosophie der Antike und ist spezialisiert in einem bestimmten Zeitraum des Altertums. Das Ziel des Buchs ist, ein systematisches Studium zum Thema der Rezeption von Parmenides bei den Antiken zu ergeben.

The contributions deal with Parmenides’ thought from the ancient archaic tradition until late Neoplatonism. The volume’s goal is to provide a systematic study on the reception of Parmenides’ thought in different contexts of ancient philosophy.
