Migration and integration remain a relevant topic even after the refugee crisis of 2015. Knowledge about the influence of both on the development of young people is essential to ensure harmonious social coexistence among the next generation. In this work, Christina Stich examines the connection between migration, integration and development in adolescence. She elaborates on the challenges that young people with a migrant background have to face in the integration process in Germany and classifies language acquisition and dealing with cultural and traditional values as particularly influential factors in this respect.
