Die Globalisierung ist eine große Herausforderung für arbeitende Menschen und ihre Organisationen. Die Globalisierung verschärft den Wettbewerb unter den Arbeiter*innen auf der ganzen Welt und untergräbt dadurch vielerorts die Arbeitsbedingungen. Angemessene Antworten auf diese Herausforderung erfordern rigorose wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen.
Die Buchreihe umfasst Berichte über die Auswirkungen der Globalisierung insbesondere auf gefährdete Arbeiter*Innen und kleinbäuerliche Betriebe, ihren Widerstand und die politischen Optionen auf verschiedenen Ebenen, um Defizite bei menschenwürdiger Arbeit zu beheben. Sie ist ein Forum für herausragende Dissertationen sowie andere hervorragende Monographien, Forschungsberichte und Sammelbände aus dem globalen multidisziplinären Netzwerk von neun Partneruniversitäten auf vier Kontinenten mit gewerkschaftlichen Kooperationen, dem International Center for Development and Decent Work (ICDD).
Globalization is a major challenge for working people and their organizations. Globalization is intensifying competition among workers around the world, thereby undermining working conditions in many places. Adequate responses to this challenge require rigorous scholarly inquiry.
The book series includes reports on the impact of globalization, particularly on vulnerable workers, their resistance, and policy options at various levels to address decent work deficits. It is a forum for outstanding dissertations as well as other outstanding monographs, postdoctoral theses, research reports, and edited volumes from the global multidisciplinary network of nine partner universities on four continents with union collaborations, the International Center for Development and Decent Work (ICDD).
